Fendo

Terms of use

Last updated 2 November 2026

The short version. Fendo helps you record a hire car's condition. It is free to use. It is a record-keeping tool, not legal advice, and its damage scan can be wrong, so always look at the car yourself.

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use Fendo at fendoapp.com or as an app installed from it. By using Fendo you agree to them. Questions: support@fendoapp.com.

2. What Fendo does

Fendo guides you through photographing a hire car at pickup and return, stamps each photo with the time, location (if you allow it) and a fingerprint, can scan photos for visible damage, and builds a PDF and draft letters you can use if you are charged for damage you did not cause.

3. Price

Fendo is currently free. If we ever charge for anything, we will show the price before you start, it will be a one-off payment and never a subscription you did not choose, and these terms and our refunds page will be updated before any payment is taken.

4. What Fendo is not

5. Your photos and your responsibilities

6. Availability

We aim to keep Fendo working, but we may change, pause or stop features, and the scan needs a connection. Photos you have already taken stay on your phone either way.

7. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer. Otherwise, because Fendo is a free tool, we are not liable for damage charges, lost disputes or other losses arising from relying on its scan or letters, or for losses we could not reasonably foresee.

8. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your home courts.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; significant changes will be shown in the app before they apply.
